Arrest Made After Sciccors Held To Woman's Throat

No injuries are being reported after a man allegedly held a pair of scissors to a woman's throat in Chatham.

Police say the 30-year-old man was being confronted by officers at an address on Thames St. at around 8:50am Tuesday when he allegedly grabbed a woman and put the scissors to her neck.

He was wanted by police for allegedly breaching his bail conditions after he was charged with drug, weapons, and theft-related charges in January.

According to police, officers were able to break the woman free and arrest the man, but only after a struggle.

The man was then taken to police headquarters and now faces two more weapon-related charges and two more counts of failing to comply with his bail conditions.

He's being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
