Police Seek Suspect in Blenheim Drugstore Theft

Police in Chatham-Kent want the public's help in identifying a theft suspect.

The woman is seen on a surveillance camera entering the Shoppers Drug Mart on Chatham St N in Blenheim shortly before 6pm on Thursday.  Police say she was seen taking various items valued at over $100.  The items were placed in her purse and she left the store without any intention of paying for the items.

The woman was last seen wearing a black shirt and dark jeans.  She also wore sunglasses, a black baseball cap and carried the purse allegedly used to stash the items.

Anyone who recognizes the woman is asked to call Chatham-Kent police Const. Don Letourneau at (519) 436-6600 ext. 87074.  Anonymous tips can also be phoned into Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
