UPDATE: Hwy. 401 In Chatham Reopened

All lanes of Hwy. 401 through Chatham have reopened.

The planned closure between Bloomfield Rd. and Kent Bridge Rd. went into effect Saturday night around 8pm.

The closure was expected to last until 10am Sunday morning but Ontario Provincial Police say the highway has reopened a littler earlier than anticipated.

The Ministry of Transportation say the closure was so demolition work on the Hwy. 40 underpass could be done.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
