Trendy Furniture Store Opening In Chatham

A furniture store specializing in designer trends is about to open its doors in Chatham's downtown core.

Devos Furniture will officially open this weekend. Owner Ryan Devos says he wanted to bring something unique and designer-friendly to Chatham. Devos also owns the furniture store on Riverview Dr. called Chairs & More Ltd., which was originally called Devos Furniture.

However, he says customers should not expect to see the same style at both stores.

"We're reviving the old brand with a new spin," he says. "Things that you'll find here, you will not find at our other store."

Devos Furniture is located on King St. W, down the road from the condominium; but Devos says that's not why the location was picked.

"My dad started off in the furniture industry in downtown Chatham," he says. "He worked at a store called Star Furniture for 32 years before he opened up Devos Furniture."

Devos Furniture's grand opening is on May 6. The store will be open from 10am-5pm.
