A Wet Week Ahead

Everyone in southwestern Ontario should keep their umbrellas handy this week.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the southwest region warning of up to 50 mm of rainfall, which is expected to begin Thursday before tapering off into showers on the weekend.

The weather statement is in effect for Chatham-Kent, Windsor-Essex, Sarnia-Lambton and London-Middlesex.

Because the ground is already saturated, the weather agency says localized flooding may be possible due to the heavy rainfall.
