UPDATE: Driver Not At Fault For Crash

Chatham-Kent police say they will not be laying any charges after an 8-year-old boy was hit by a car in Chatham.

Officers say they have determined that the driver who hit the boy in front of Winston Churchill Public School Thursday afternoon was not at fault. The boy will not be charged either because of his age.

The boy who was hit by the car was rushed to Victoria Hospital in London shortly after the crash with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Police will release an update on his condition when it is available.
