First Responders Go Head-To-Head (GALLERY)

Cheers echoed from inside the Healthplex in Chatham as first responders went head-to-head in "Clash of the Sirens."

Constable Jay Denorer, media relations officer for Chatham-Kent OPP, said most of the teams were made up of Chatham-Kent OPP, police, EMS, and fire personnel. However, some students from St. Clair College also joined in on the fun.

"There's 35 contestants so that's seven teams," said Denorer. "We had five people on each team."

The teams competed in job-specific challenges Saturday morning for a shot at bragging rights.

Denorer said the challenges put together by Blairs' Bootcamp consisted of several activities, which included solving puzzles, lifting weights, and using cardio machines.

Funds raised from the event will go towards Chatham-Kent Victim Services and National Service Dogs.
