Longwoods Road Reopened

Longwoods Rd. near Parks Blueberries has reopened earlier than expected.

Part of the road between Zone Rd. 6 and Zone Rd. 7 was closed following a fatal collision on Friday.

Chatham-Kent police put out a media release on Saturday, stating that although the initial investigation was complete, the road would remain closed for the remainder of the weekend.

About 75L of diesel fuel had spilled onto the road so road repairs were needed.

Police told BlackburnNews.com on Sunday morning that the road was reopened Saturday afternoon.
