Wallaceburg Two-Way Stop Delayed For Two More Months

Chatham-Kent council has officially agreed to delay a four-way stop replacement in Wallaceburg.

Councillors voted 14-2 Monday night not to replace the all-way stop with a two-way stop at Murray St. and Reaume Ave., until after construction on McNaughton Ave. is done at the end of July.

Councillors Jeff Wesley and Carmen McGregor have been calling for a delay until construction in the area is finished this summer because of traffic and student safety concerns.

The all-way stop is being replaced by a two way stop and an electronic pedestrian crossing.
