Putting the 'Bo' In Bothwell Arena

If you've ever dreamed about meeting an NHL all-star up close and personal, you'll have the chance to do that Tuesday night in Bothwell.

Vancouver Canucks forward Bo Horvat will be at the Bothwell Arena from 6pm-8pm signing autographs and posing for pictures.

Horvat's ties to the arena can be traced back to his grandfather, John Horvat, who the annual John Horvat Memorial Hockey Tournament is named after.

Bo also took to Twitter in January of 2016 to show his support for the facility when it was potentially on the chopping block during municipal budget talks.

Later that month, Chatham-Kent councillors voted 17-1 against closing the arena and since then, the people managing the Bothwell Area Sports Centre have taken a number of steps to make sure the facility is used more effectively.
