Small Fire Prompts Warning

Damage is pegged at $15,000 after a kitchen fire in Chatham.

It happened at an apartment building at 74 King St. E on Friday just before 10:30am.

The cause is accidental and nobody was hurt.

Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services is reminding residents to never leave the stove or oven unattended.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
