The Special Investigations Unit is investigating the sudden death of a man in northeast Chatham.
The SIU says Chatham-Kent police were called early Wednesday morning about a domestic incident.
They add a 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
As of Wednesday afternoon, officers were still at the scene located at 63 Greenfield Lane.
Sources say the man was found alone inside the home.
The cause of death is not yet known.
The SIU is the civilian oversight agency responsible for investigating circumstances involving police that have resulted in a death, serious injury, or allegations of sexual assault of a civilian in Ontario.
