Maroons Re-Sign Defenceman

The Chatham Maroons are bringing back one of their key players on defence.

The team announced Sunday that they had re-signed defenceman Jake O'Donnell for the 2017-18 season.

The Bowmanville, Ont. native had 13 points for the Maroons last season with three goals. He was acquired mid-season and played 18 regular-season games. O'Donnell also had a goal and an assist in the 2017 GOJHL playoffs.

The 6' 3", 195 pound O'Donnell was a fourth round pick of the Sarnia Sting in the 2014 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection. At junior B level, he previously played for the Sarnia Legionnaires.
