High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

A 21-year-old Comber man is in critical condition in a London hospital after a crash in Tilbury late Friday night.
Police say the man was riding a homemade motorbike when he ran into the passenger side of a vehicle that was at the intersection of Lyon Ave. and Pearl St. at around 11pm Friday.
The man who was on the motorbike was airlifted to London Health Sciences Centre for treatment.
Officers say the 52-year-old Wallaceburg man who was driving the vehicle that was hit didn't suffer any injuries as a result of the crash.
It's not clear whether charges will be laid in connection with the investigation.
