Chatham Sewage Plant Gets Makeover

More than $2.2-million in upgrades are coming to the Chatham sewage plant and pump stations over the next few months.

The sewage plant at 100 Irwin St. will get a new electrical substation and a new motor control centre that powers the raw sewage pump station.

It will also get HVAC and electrical modifications to improve the ventilation system for workers.

Pump station 1 at 55 Van Allen St. needs new pumps while pump station 5 at King and Second St. will be moved to an unknown location because its too close to Fire Station #1.

All the work should be done by January.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
