Catholic School Board To Vote On Location Of New School

The St. Clair Catholic District School Board plans to vote on the location of a new elementary school in north Chatham.

The motion will be brought forward at the board meeting being held on Tuesday.

The proposed new location is 801 McNaughton Ave. W in Chatham across from St. Clair College's Thames Campus.

The Ministry of Education granted the school board $26.7-million to build one school in the north end and the other in the south.

The public session will be held at the Catholic Education Centre in Wallaceburg at 7pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
