Oxford Barn Fire Suspicious

Ontario Provincial Police are looking into a barn blaze in Oxford County.

First responders were called around 5pm Sunday to a fire on Old Stage Rd in Norwich Twp. It turned out that a small barn on the property was completely on fire.

Crews from the Norwich Twp Fire Department and South-West Oxford Fire Department extinguished the blaze.

There were no injuries reported and no livestock were affected. The value of the damage has not been disclosed.

The Ontario Fire Marshal's Office is sending an investigator to determine how the barn caught fire. The blaze is being deemed as suspicious.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
