Bothwell Woman Wins $100K With Encore

A Bothwell woman seems to have good luck playing Encore, as she claims her second major prize.

The OLG says Sherry Parnall has picked up her cheque for $100,000 from the draw on September 30.

However, this isn't the first time Parnall has had to make the trip to Toronto to pick up a cheque. The OLG says Parnall won $5,000 years ago.

“I always check my tickets right after the draw so that usually means I check late into the evening. I should have waited until the next day because as soon as I learned that I was a big winner, I didn’t sleep a wink,” says Parnall, as stated in an OLG media release.

The mother and grandmother of 20 grandchildren is planning to buy a new van and possibly a new home.

“I’ll be looking for a three bedroom house close to schools and my sister," she says. "My granddaughters are going to be so excited to have a new place to call home!”
