What's Open, Closed Thanksgiving Day

Many people will be sitting down to their Thanksgiving meals this weekend, and as a result several municipally-run services will not be available.

All municipal offices and most services like CK Transit, the Public Utilities Commission, public libraries, and public health services will be closed October 9.

Garbage and recycling pick-up will be pushed back by one day.

The Cultural Centre, including the Box Office and ARTspace, as well as the Ridge House Museum will be closed. However, the Thames Art Gallery and Chatham-Kent Museum will be open from 1pm-5pm.

As usual, emergency services such as fire, police, and ambulance are available 24-hours a day.

The emergency departments at both of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance's locations will also be open.

Some services at the CKHA such as routine x-rays, ultrasounds, and out-patient rehabilitation services will not be available.

The Oncology/Chemotherapy department and the Mental Health and Addictions Program Out-Patient Department will be closed. However, a crisis line is open at 1-866-299-7447.
