Blazin' BBQ Is Hot, Smokin' & Compassionate

Blazin’ BBQ Ribhouse in Chatham is being recognized this week for being an inclusive employer.

A celebration is being held at the restaurant at 435 St. Clair St. on Thursday from 12pm until 2pm and those attending will get a free pulled pork sandwich.

October is Disability Employment Awareness Month and Blazin' BBQ is being honoured for hiring people with disabilities.

Goodwill Connections Program says "Blazin' BBQ has been a local champion by providing jobs that have helped its participants acquire skills, reach their goals and build natural supports."

Goodwill officials add that "this business has been an inspiration and a leader in inclusion and has contributed to the overall goal of strengthening inclusion in our community and truly changing people’s lives through the power of work."

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
