Legionnaires Edge Maroons In OT

The Chatham Maroons fell 3-2 to the Sarnia Legionnaires in overtime on Thursday.

Dakota Bohn drew first blood for Chatham with a quick goal 43 seconds into the game. The Maroons held the lead for the first period, but the Legionnaires scored the goal of the second period to to tie things up.

Chatham came back to take the lead in the first half of the third, thanks to a goal by Josh King, but Sarnia added one more goal with just under eight minutes left in the game to force OT.

Nolan DeGurse scored the game winner for Sarnia 3:26 into overtime.

Maroons goalie Ryan Wagner made 33 saves out of 36 shots on net.

Chatham is back on the ice on Sunday when they face off against the Strathroy Rockets. The puck drops at Chatham Memorial Arena at 7pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
