Conservation officials say strong winds on Tuesday will cause high waves similar to those that caused flooding earlier this year along Erie Shore Dr. in Chatham-Kent. The LTVCA says there is a risk that wave action could damage the shoreline and cause erosion.
People, pets and livestock should avoid the shoreline. The flood watch is in effect until Wednesday.
Beginning this year, the Poppy Campaign runs on a new, fixed schedule from October 24 through November 11.
Residents are being encouraged to attach tags or identifiers to their pets in case they go missing.
