More Than 150 Tickets Issued During Thanksgiving Weekend

Chatham-Kent police officers issued 157 tickets during an enforcement campaign called "Operation Impact" over Thanksgiving weekend.

The goal is to raise awareness and assist in making roads safer.

Officers also laid four alcohol-related charges including drunk driving and license suspensions.

“The focus was on behaviours like impaired driving, seat belt use, and all aspects related to aggressive and distracted driving that put drivers, passengers and other road users at risk," says Sergeant Matthew Stezycki of the Traffic and Marine Services Unit.
