UPDATE: WestJet Back Online After Computer Problems

A Canadian air carrier is back online after computer issues delayed flights.

The air carrier reported Saturday that many flights have been delayed because of what is termed as a "significant IT outage".

WestJet's reservation and check-in systems had been affected, along with its customer contact centre.

In updates placed on Twitter, the Calgary-based airline said up to 60 flights have been delayed across North America by 15 minutes to an hour past departure time.

Shortly before 7:30pm, WestJet tweeted that all systems were again functioning normally.

Anyone booked on a WestJet flight Sunday should not encounter any issues, the carrier says.

WestJet services passengers in London and Toronto with seasonal service between Windsor and Florida.
