Flood Watch Issued Until Friday

The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority has issued a flood watch for the Lake Erie shoreline.

Conservation officials say strong winds and rain on Wednesday night and Thursday will cause high waves that are similar or exceed those that caused flooding this year along Erie Shore Dr. in Chatham-Kent.

LTVCA says there is a risk that wave action could damage the shoreline and cause erosion.

People, pets and livestock should avoid the shoreline.

This flood watch will be in effect until Friday.
