UPDATE: A Wet Start To The Weekend

If you still have leaves to rake, this may not be the weekend to get them done.

A special weather statement for much of southwestern Ontario, including London-Middlesex, Elgin, Oxford and Sarnia-Lambton remains in effect. Forecasters say another rain system will move into the region Saturday afternoon and last into the evening.

Total rainfall amounts are likely to be in the 25-40 mm range. Some areas, however, may receive more.

Environment Canada warns that heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
