Knights Shut Out Sputtering Spitfires 4-0

Joseph Raaymakers stopped all 32 shots thrown at him as the London Knights beat the Spitfires in Windsor 4-0 Sunday afternoon.

The victory pulls the Knights out of the OHL Midwest Division cellar, at least for now. London now has 22 points.

The Spitfires came up empty on a three-game weekend swing after losses on Thursday to Owen Sound and Friday at Sarnia.

Pu's first goal of the afternoon came at 5:46 of the first period, with Evan Bouchard and Robert Thomas on the assists.

London doubled their lead later in the second period as Tyler Rollo scored his fourth goal of the season. Max Jones made it 3-0 Knights over two minutes later.

Pu sealed the win with his second score of the game 43 seconds into the final period.

Michael DiPietro stumbled in goal for Windsor. He picked up 25 saves out of 29 attempts.

The Knights travel Wednesday night to Sarnia to face the surprising Sting. The Spitfires host the Kingston Frontenacs Thursday night.
