'Frappuchicken' Coming To North Chatham

Popeyes and Starbucks are coming to North Chatham.

Bruce McAllister, director of planning services in Chatham-Kent, says Popeyes Louisiana Chicken will open early in 2018 on St. Clair St. near Pioneer Line.

He says the Starbucks coffee house will open in late spring or early summer north of Boston Pizza near the Home Depot, in the same area.

McAllister adds that the developer is still looking for a tenant for the site next to the new Popeyes across from the Galaxy Theatres.

In June, Chatham-Kent council amended the zoning bylaw to increase the floor area at the new Popeyes.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
