Hwy. 401 Ramps Re-Opening In CK

There's some good news this week if you have been waiting for construction to wrap up on a couple of Hwy. 401 on-ramps and exits in Chatham-Kent.

Officials with the Ministry of Transportation say the eastbound Hwy. 401 on-ramp at Queens Line near Tilbury is already open again, and the Hwy. 40 (Communication Rd.) interchange in Chatham should be ready for drivers by Friday, December 1.

The re-opening of the Hwy. 40 on and off ramps will depend on the weather, though, because there is still some paving work that needs to be done.

That isn't the end of the work there, either. More construction is planned for the Hwy. 40 interchange in 2018, including some more asphalt paving. That work is expected to take place next May and June.
