Guns, Ammunition Stolen From Chatham-Kent Home

Police are investigating after guns and ammunition were stolen from a home in Chatham-Kent.

Sometime between 7am and 6:30pm Tuesday, police say a rural home between Tupperville and Dresden was broken into.

Police say the thieves stole three firearms in locked cases, including a Stevens .22 calibre single shot lever action rifle, a black Remington 710 12-gauge pump action shotgun, and a black 270 Remington 710 pump action shotgun.

A small amount of ammunition was also stolen.

According to police, the thieves also took a 43” Sony Bravia television, a Seika DVD player, a Nintendo gaming console, a Super Nintendo gaming console, and a WD Passport 320 gb external hard drive.

The total value of the stolen items has been estimated at about $2,000.
