Hwy. 40 Interchange Ramps Are Fully Open

Drivers coming through Chatham-Kent on the Hwy. 401 are getting an early Christmas present.

The Ministry of Transportation has confirmed that the Hwy. 40 (Communication Rd.) interchange ramps are open again.

Access to and from the Hwy. 401 had been shut down there for the past few months for construction work on the overpass and the ramps.

The access should remain open for the winter now, but more construction is expected to start up at the interchange once the weather warms up. Crews still need to complete some more asphalt paving, which is expected to take place in May and June 2018.
