Snowy Roads Keep OPP Busy

Chatham-Kent OPP officers responded to 14 weather-related crashes on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Provincial police are reminding drivers to slow down and stay in control of their vehicle when driving in bad weather and on poor road conditions.

They say driving too fast for road conditions is the number one cause of winter collisions and are asking drivers to give themselves extra time to get to and from their destination.

Helicopters to be used in military training

Members of the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command will conduct routine training around Muskoka, Meaford, Bruce Peninsula, Sarnia, and Cockburn Island from July 27 to July 30.
