Fire At Abandoned Building In Chatham

There is no word on a cause or a damage estimate yet after a fire broke out at a vacant building on Grand Ave. E in Chatham Wednesday night.

No injuries were reported either.

Fire officials say crews were called to the scene just after 10pm Wednesday, adding that firefighters were able to work quickly to prevent the fire from spreading.

The Ontario Fire Marshal's Office has been called in to investigate.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
