Maroons Fall To Flyers In Leamington

The Chatham Maroons' final regular season trip to Leamington ended with another disappointing loss.

This time, the Maroons fell 6-1 to the Flyers after allowing four straight goals in the first period.

"We let up for a couple of minutes there and they scored four quick ones on us just like last time," said Maroons Assistant Coach Brett Hope after the game. "After that, it's a 2-1 game, I really didn't see it as a 6-1 game in my mind."

The Maroons' only goal of the game was on the power play in the second period, which cut the lead to 4-1 at the time.

Chatham goaltender John Massara started the game, but was replaced by Ryan Wagner in the second period after allowing all six of Leamington's goals.

The last time the Maroons were in Leamington, they lost 6-2.

Chatham's next game is Saturday night in Strathroy where they'll take on the Rockets.

You can hear that game live on Country 92.9FM / 630AM CFCO. Puck drop is set for 7:30pm.
