Oscar-Winning Londoner Accused Of Rape

Paul Haggis, an Oscar-winning filmmaker, is the latest in an ever-growing list of Hollywood heavyweights to be accused of sexual misconduct.

The Associated Press reports four women have levelled the accusations against the London-native. One of the women claims Haggis forced her to perform oral sex before raping her. Another woman has said the 64-year-old told her "I need to be inside you" but she was able to run away from him.

A civil lawsuit charges that Haggis raped a publicist, an accusation he has previously denied in a pending countersuit.

Haggis' lawyer has denied the latest accusations against his client stating "he didn't rape anybody."

Haggis was born in London and graduated from Fanshawe College's cinematography program before moving to California. He won Academy Awards for the films "Crash" and "Million Dollar Baby."
