Early-Morning Barn Fire In Perth South

Fire has caused extensive damage to a huge barn in the Township of Perth South.

Members of the St. Marys, Sebringville and West Perth Fire Departments were dispatched to the fire shortly before 6am Tuesday morning on Perth Line 16, south of St. Pauls Station. OPP officers also responded to the scene.

Perth Line 16 was closed from Hwy. 7 to Perth Rd. 122 but it has since reopened.

It's estimated about 1,800 livestock were inside the barn at the time. The losses are not yet known.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
