Flu Outbreak Lifted At Chatham Hospital

The flu outbreak at the Chatham hospital is officially over.

Officials with the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and the Public Health Unit made the announcement Monday afternoon.

Influenza A and B outbreaks were reported near the beginning of January at a few different hospital units.

Outbreak precautions have since been lifted, however health officials are still recommending that people get the flu shot and wash their hands, especially when visiting a patient.
