Maroons Shut Out Komoka 5-0

Ryan Wagner stopped all 34 shots he faced as the Chatham Maroons shut out the Komoka Kings 5-0 Sunday night at Memorial Arena.

The Maroons are in sixth place in the GOJHL Western Conference with 36 points. The Kings have 24 points and are in seventh.

The first goal of the game came within the last minute of the first period when Steven Fowler found the net for the Maroons.

Chatham scored two more goals in the second period. Jordan Frasca doubled the lead to 2-0 at 10:49, then Dane Johnstone scored his first goal before the end of the frame.

Johnstone continued in the third period, scoring again with 38 seconds elapsed. Josh King added an unassisted goal later in the stanza.

Avery Hartwick had 32 saves in net for Komoka.

The Maroons are back in action next Sunday when they welcome the Sarnia Legionnaires to Memorial Arena. Puck drop is at 7pm, and all the action can be head on CFCO Country 92.9FM/AM 630.
