OPP Find Marijuana After Stopping Speeder

A 22-year-old man from Mississauga is in some trouble with the law after Chatham-Kent OPP say they found some marijuana in a vehicle on Hwy. 401.

Police say they pulled the vehicle over for speeding at around 11:30pm Sunday after it was recorded going over 130 km/h in the westbound lanes of the highway near Charing Cross Rd.

After officers pulled the vehicle over, they allegedly found a small quantity of marijuana inside.

The driver is now charged with speeding and drug possession.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
