Bannon Faces Subpoenas After Refusing To Answer Questions

U.S. President Donald Trump's former chief strategist Steve Bannon is facing multiple subpoenas after refusing to answer questions during a House Intelligence Committee interview.

The interview, which lasted more than ten hours, was held on Tuesday and resulted in Bannon being hit with one subpoena to divulge information after he declined to discuss the transition period after the presidential campaign, according to CNN.  Bannon also disclosed to the panel that he had already been subpoenaed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller to testify before a grand jury.

Both Mueller and the committee are tasked with investigating the possible links between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders told the media on Tuesday that the White House was not concerned with what Bannon might say to Congress or Mueller's team.
