Chatham Man Charged With Stunt Driving

Police say a Chatham man with a need for speed had his license suspended.

On Sunday at around 2am, police say an officer on general patrol noticed a car speeding on Grande River Line in Chatham.

According to police, the officer stopped the car and spoke with the driver. Police say the officer believed the driver was under the influence of alcohol and took him into custody. The man was taken to police headquarters for breath tests.

An 18-year-old Chatham man was released with a three-day license suspension. He was also charged with stunt driving and issued a future court date.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
