Auction Items Stolen At Charity Basketball Tournament

Thanks to the hard work of police officers, most of the items that were stolen from a local fundraiser have been returned.

Chatham-Kent police say on Saturday, officers responded to a break and enter at John McGregor Secondary School in Chatham.

The school was set to host this year’s Dave Allin Classic Tournament, which raises money for the ALS Society. However, the event turned sour when items on the silent auction table were stolen.

According to police, officers on scene were able to track down suspects in the incident.

Police say most of the items were returned about five hours after they were stolen.
