Komoka Crowns Maroons 3-2 in Overtime

Isaac MacLean scored twice in the Komoka Kings' 3-2 home win over the Chatham Maroons Saturday night.

Chatham is now in sixth place in the GOJHL Western Conference standings with 41 points. The Kings are in seventh with 26 points.

The contest was scoreless until late in the first period. McLean's first goal of the night came at 18:43 and gave Komoka a 1-0 lead.

The Maroons tied the game up in the second frame when Jake O'Donnell found the net.

The Kings regained the lead when Kurt Watson found the net at 3:20, but Chatham evened things up again on a Bryce Yetman score, sending the game into overtime.

The first overtime passed without a winner and the Maroons outshot Komoka 6-3. McLean's winner was at 2:11 in the second overtime period.

Avery Hartwick stopped 33 shots in goal for the Kings. Lucas Patton had 21 saves for Chatham.

Komoka hosts St. Thomas in a matinee Sunday. The Maroons travel to Strathroy Tuesday night.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
