Chatham-Kent police say an argument started between two men on February 5.
The two got into a physical fight, which is when the 22-year-old allegedly stabbed the 25-year-old.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The 22-year-old man was taken to the courthouse on Tuesday for a bail hearing.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
