Express Squeak By Niagara 112-110

Erik Parker scored 21 points off the bench as the Windsor Express beat the Niagara River Lions 112-110 Saturday night.

The Express are in third place in the NBL Central Division with a 12-13 record following the victory at the WFCU Centre.

Three other Express players scored 16 points. Starters Logan Stutz and Chad Frazier put those totals up along with Omar Strong off the bench.

Shaquille Keith led the defensive effort for Windsor with ten rebounds.

The Express began the game with a slight lead after the first quarter but Niagara bounced back for a 57-51 lead at halftime. Windsor outscored the River Lions in the third quarter 32-26 and the game remained tight down the stretch before Windsor took the lead for good late in regulation.

Carl Hall led Niagara with 24 points. Devonta Pollard added 13 points and Samuel Muldrow put in another 12. Guillaume Boucard led the River Lions on defence with ten boards.

The home-and-away series between the two teams continues Thursday night in St. Catharines.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
