UPDATE: Firefighters Quickly Put Out Garage Fire

Firefighters have extinguished a garage fire in Tilbury.

Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services reported the blaze on Wednesday just before 8pm at 34 Prospect St.  The fire was put out quickly fire before it spread to the nearby wooden fencing or house.

No one was injured.

The exact cause of the blaze is unknown but fire officials say it was accidental.

Damage to the garage and contents is estimated at around $60,000.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
