OPP Nabs Drunk Driver On Hwy. 401 In CK

A 36-year-old Windsor man has been charged with several offences including impaired driving after a crash on Hwy. 401 in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent OPP were called to a collision on the 401 near Merlin Rd. Wednesday night around 8pm and found the vehicle had lost control and drove into the centre median.

An officer determined the driver had consumed alcohol after speaking with him and took him to the detachment for further testing.

Other charges include driving while disqualified, driving a vehicle not equipped with an approved ignition interlock device, operating a vehicle without insurance and driving without a licence.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
