London Woman Arrested For Speeding On Hwy. 401

Going 60 km/hr over the speed limit on Hwy. 401 has landed a London woman with a stunt driving charge.

Chatham-Kent OPP say a westbound vehicle was clocked going 160 km/hr near Scane Rd. Saturday evening.

In addition to the charge, the woman's driver's licence has been suspended and the vehicle has been impounded for seven days.

The 29-year-old woman will have to go to court March 28.

OPP are reminding drivers that going more than 50 km/hr above the speed limit could result in a number of penalties, which include an immediate licence suspension and up to a $10,000 fine upon conviction.
