UPDATE: More Rain Possible for Saturday Night

More rain is in the forecast for Saturday night, which may further involve areas already affected by flooding.

Environment Canada has ended the special weather statement for Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.

The statement also previously covered London-Middlesex and Sarnia-Lambton, though it was allowed to expire in those two regions late Saturday night.

The weather agency says rain is expected to affect regions near and north of Lake Erie. Some embedded thunderstorms are possible as well with brief heavy downpours, although at this point it appears that the majority of the activity will remain south of Lake Erie. The rain should quickly end Sunday morning as the weather system responsible moves to the northeast.

Rainfall amounts are expected to be between 10mm and 20mm, which could make ground even more saturated.
