Roads Closing For Flood-Related Issues

The ongoing flooding in Chatham-Kent is prompting some road closures Saturday night.

In addition to roads and streets already closed due to flood waters, the municipality announced additional closures.

Pump Rd. between Louden Rd. and Tecumseh Line is being closed by the municipality for dike repair. In an email received by BlackburnNewsCK.com, the municipality says this stretch of road will be closed for at least 24 hours. Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes.

With all barricades, officials are urging people not to drive or walk around them for any reason.

The latest list of closures can be found on the official Chatham-Kent website.
